Here are some key guidelines to remember:
Retainer Maintenance: To maintain optimal hygiene and retain the effectiveness of your retainer, remember to remove it before brushing your teeth. Additionally, make it a habit to clean your retainer thoroughly before placing it back in your mouth.
In our practice, we offer two types of retainers:
Clear Retainers: Crafted from a transparent thermoplastic material, clear retainers are removable and cover the entire arch of teeth. They offer a discreet and convenient option for maintaining your smile’s alignment.
Fixed Retainers: Made from a special wire, fixed retainers are bonded to the back of your teeth to prevent any potential shifting. While they provide excellent stability, they require meticulous hygiene between the teeth. Patients with fixed retainers should exercise caution when consuming crunchy foods to prevent damage to the wire. Please note that there is an additional charge for customizing fixed retainers.
